Hi friends,
Well the nail biting stuff is all over and I have gotten back my results. Wow. Ah. It's...good and bad all at the same time. Do you know that weird feeling when you are standing in between rafflesias and violets and it all smells lovely and crappy at the same time? Just like that, but a lot worse. I shall reveal the Rafflesias first followed by the violets (only paper 2)so that I can end this section of the post on a sweet note.
HCL - Okay to be honest I forgot my score. Um, really. I was probably trying too hard to get my mind off it. I think the conversion is around 72/100 so go convert back to the original if you want...And I know it sucks, considering that I used to hit 80s.
CL - *Begs inner blogger personality - "Must I do this?!"* Sighs. 67.5/90. Below average. ARGH. Don't come and ask me why I suddenly dropped by so much unless you want me to send my ninja scissors after you.
Maths - It's - 76/100. Yup and I know it stinks. But I didn't fail. Yes, I PASSED!!! :D I failed last term, that's why I didn't reveal my marks, and now that I passed, my hallucinating of seeing a fail didn't come true. :) *Suddenly thinks of remedial student Jiale getting 92/100* *Suddenly sees Minyi/ZheXuan/BingJian with 99/100* Smile vanishes...
English - Hmm...at least I improved from last term, but I didn't hit what I wanted. 81.5/95. T_T I have let Miss Gillian down, I used to get 89...However I am extremely relieved that I didn't do as badly as last term. :) I hope to do even better.
Science - At last, a subject that I am pleased with. 86/100!! I got a shock when I received the paper...I DON"T BELIEVE IT!! WOOTS!! *Starts dancing chicken dance*
So well that's it for the results...now on to the open house I attended today! I attended RGS and NYGH, so I'm going to talk about my opinions about both...
GENERAL ENVIROMENT
NYGH - More on the friendly, quiet side, most students should be well behaved.
RGS - More extroverted, lively, should be well behaved too.
ONE THING THAT I LIKE
NYGH - The string ensemble!! Man I heard them play and I loved it! The songs were played with passion (could tell, they were swaying with the music as they played), the songs were impressive (especially a number of bars that I remember were full of fast, running notes...Beautiful!), and it's like, the real deal.
RGS - The home economics programme, because it's actually quite fun, they displayed some stuffs that would be made (so pretty and cute, can't wait to make my own!)and there would be other fun stuff like cooking, blah. And also I like their Odessey of the Mind programme, it looks fun! It's sort of like a, skit activity.
ONE FREEBIE THAT I LIKE (yes i'm being lame)
NYGH - A furry wire twisted into a treble clef
RGS - A little shiny pin
A STUDENT THERE THAT IMPRESSED ME
NYGH - There was this really friendly girl who saw me looking sort of shy and came to strike up a conversation with me. She was so sociable and cheerful!
RGS - When my parents were walking around trying to find the school tour she approached us and asked us what we wanted. When we told her, she started the school tour herself. I think she has a lot of initiative and she was quite friendly too!
Yep and that's about it, good night for now and all the best for DSA/PSLE/Whatever crap there is.
Cheers
